At the Kitsap Provider Breakfast, a great question was posed:
"What resources are available when a client is facing a severe hoarding situation, biohazard concerns, or a home that has become unsafe to live in?"
It sparked an important conversation about how we can better support some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
One thing I was excited to confirm afterward is that SERVPRO of Kitsap, Grays Harbor, and Pacific Counties is a DSHS-approved vendor and can assist Medicare and Medicaid recipients with qualifying hoarding, biohazard, and trauma-related claims.
What many people don't realize is that our support doesn't stop at cleanup. From mitigation and specialty cleaning to full reconstruction services, we can help families navigate difficult transitions, whether they're relocating, downsizing, recovering from a loss, or preparing a home for sale.
Community partnerships matter. The more resources we can put in the hands of social workers, case managers, healthcare providers, and community advocates, the better we can serve those who need us most.
Thank you to everyone at the Kitsap Provider Breakfast for the meaningful discussion this morning.
