The she shed by the she shore has siding! MEP done and ready to move onto the inside. This is one of the best views on the property. Going to be a great “shed” for gardening, relaxing and enjoying nature.

Framing almost done. These two buildings have really taken shape and are starting to come alive! Next up on the barn is metal furring, insulation and then corrugated sheet metal with accoya accents. The shed will be all accoya for siding.

We are well underway framing at ! The barn and she shed are moving along. Douglas fir beams and yellow pine 2x6 tongue and groove decking. This decking will be the interior ceiling and the 6x6 posts and wall girts will all be exposed to the inside. Super cool and super strong!

Framing complete. On to painting the exterior! We added 225sqft for a new kitchen. Turned a tight 2/1 into a cozy 2/2. All new doors and windows. MEP going on inside. This house has so much character and charm. We are enjoying recreating it with the appropriate materials and styling. Can’t wait to open this airbnb!

Balloon VS Platform Framing Here is a great example of two different types of framing. The one on the right is circa 1940’s and the left side is platform framing common used today. This is a great side by side comparison. Notice no bottom plate on the right. Not good for efficiency nor keeping critters out!

Demo is fun. Not a lot of thinking involved. Grip and rip, bang and bust! But even while getting things out of the way, you want to have a plan and know what needs to go and what can stay. While the job itself goes backwards, the vision forward begins to get more clear.
