We got a message from a previous customer of ours the other night. They had shared this photo with us which looked like a large failure had happened in our walkway base construction. We have never had any failures using open graded base on any of our hardscape projects, so I was troubled and surprised to see the photo which was sent. Today I pulled back a few bricks and found a chipmunk had decided to spend the winter under my customers walkway. It’s very unusual to see this chipmunk sleeping in all of this stone. It’s also very surprising to see how much stone the chipmunk moved to cause the bricks to settle so much. Chipmunks don’t technically hibernate, they enter a deep sleep stage call torpor. We placed the bricks back and will come back to repair in a few weeks time.

This portion of the property had been abaondoned for quite a few years and it was time to tame the jungle to make way for some new fences and lawn.

Created a backyard Firepit patio last week for some great clients in Exeter.

All patio and Firepit material is Ideal Block from LandCare & Stratham Hill Stone

Large format irregular bluestone pieces were cut and shaped to create the large stepping stones to the patio

We finished phase 2 of this project earlier this season. We removed an old set of timber stairs and paver walkway with a set of curving granite steps and a bluestone walkway. The walkway connects to the back patio we constructed last season.

Low maintenance plants and riverstone were installed in the garden bed.

We installed Alliance Outdoor Lighting path lights leading to the back stairs and patio

Some before and after photos of our most recent project. We installed a walkway and patio in the backyard of our clients house. We installed another garden space that attracts pollinators and has three seasons of aromatic plants.

This season we have been branching out from our usually list of perennials we will plants. Some of our new favorites on this project include Carolina Lupine and Fireworks Goldenrod.

We installed some Alliance Outdoor Lighting path lights to extend our clients time outside.

We finished installing a small back yard for some great clients this week. Small irregular bluestone sitting area for an Adirondack chair or two.

This pond surround was planted with slow growing, creeping perennials and shrubs to help blend all of the rock work into the backyard.

This small backyard got the upgrade it needed. It’s amazing what the sound of running water does to change the atmosphere.

We finished installing a small back yard Aquascape Pond Shop for some great clients this week. Small irregular bluestone sitting area for an Adirondack chair or two.

Before and after photos of a project we just completed for some great clients.

We were able to expand the driveway by building a retaining wall and a new front walkway and stairs to the front door.

A very low maintenance pollinator garden was installed in the front yard to help transition the grade change.

Before and after photos of a project we just completed for some great clients.

We were able to expand the driveway by building a retaining wall and a new front walkway and stairs to the front door.
