Our objective is to provide wood from carefully selected hardwood species, cut it to uniform length, split and season it in a manner that assures easier starting and longer burning. We do this by stacking and banding each unit of wood on its individual pallet which is then placed so that each piece of wood is exposed to the drying effects of the wind and sun, out of contact with the ground, for up

to a year. This contrasts markedly with the way it is handled by casual sellers and tree service operators, who push their split wood into large airless piles on the ground or split it just prior to delivery. Did you know? Our premium, kiln-dried firewood consists entirely of mixed hardwoods including oak, maple, ash, hickory and birch.

The logs are cut and split by a mechanical processor to uniform lengths of 15 ½ to 16”! (Easy handling, stacking, and they fit in the majority of fireplaces.) The logs are then dried in a dehumidification kiln to temperatures up to 210 degrees, which produces firewood that is fully seasoned and ready to burn. 🪵

Kiln-dried firewood offers several advantages over air-dried firewood:
It is clean and insect-free with no mold, moss, or lichens 👌
It lights easily and burns hot 🔥
It has less moisture, averaging 6-10% vs. 20-25% for freshly seasoned logs and produces less creosote, which can damage your chimney 🏠

Hauser Firewood specializes in premium, select split hardwoods, fully seasoned and ready to burn.

Firewood has been our only business for over 40 years and we remain committed to providing our customers with the highest quality product and most reliable service on the market.

In response to changes in the marketplace, we now offer two kinds of firewood: naturally seasoned and kiln-dried.

Our premium kiln-dried firewood is processed and stored indoors. Logs are placed in a dehumidification kiln and brought to temperatures of 210° F. This produces dry, ready-to-burn firewood that always lights and burns easily. It also yields cleaner logs that are free of any mold, lichens, and insects, so the wood can be stored neatly inside your home. Kiln dried logs are delivered dry and no additional drying time should be necessary.
