🌳 This storm-damaged cottonwood was an absolute BEAST.

Multiple massive stems down, tangled together, and completely blocking the area. We got it safely dismantled, cleaned up, and opened back up.

Storm damage isn’t always just a few broken limbs. Sometimes it’s several tons of tree that needs to be dealt with safely.

This storm-damaged cottonwood was an absolute beast. 🌳

Multiple massive stems had failed and completely blocked this area. We got everything safely cut up, removed, and opened the property back up. All without damaging the fence that was under it!

Storm-damaged trees can hold an incredible amount of weight and stored tension, especially when multiple stems are tangled together. What looks like a tree already “on the ground” can still be one of the more hazardous situations to work around.

Rescue in the Park 2026 🌳🧗

Here’s some quick before and after of today’s job. We removed a large brush pile, and cleaned all along the edge of this stock tank. You can really see the difference between the first picture and the last. We shut it down at 2:45, because the temp was 109 degrees! That’s too hot! 🥵 🥵

Storm damage isn’t always obvious from the ground. This elm had multiple suspended limbs and hidden hazards throughout the canopy. After carefully moving throughout the entire crown and removing the storm-damaged material, the tree is now significantly safer while retaining its natural structure and shade. Trees don’t have to be butchered to be made safe. Proper pruning matters

Vitex (Chaste Tree) is one of my favorite landscape trees/shrubs in North Texas. Beautiful blooms, attracts pollinators, and handles our heat well.

This specimen is putting on quite a show!
