WHY PEACE IS MORE THAN NOTHING GOING WRONG
The word for peace in the New Testament is eirene, and it carries the weight of the Hebrew word shalom.
Shalom means wholeness. Wellness, a whole life, put back together.
Picture a wall with a brick or two knocked out. Shalom is those bricks going back in, the wall made whole again.
That's the picture of peace in the Bible, and it changes what peace asks of us.
Sometimes peace means stepping into conflict, stepping into what's broken and calling it out loud so restoration can begin.
Wholeness shows up in our relationships, our health, our work, and our finances. All of it shapes whether we're living in shalom.
You can have zero conflict in your life and still be missing bricks.
Where's the brick missing in your life? That's where God wants to bring shalom.
