Another solid repair in the books out in Conifer! Our team brazed a copper joint underground, offsetting the pipe under the slab so it wouldn't stick up as an eyesore. Not the easiest spot to work in, but we got it done right.

We just finished replacing a water heater for a homeowner in Lafayette, CO, and they are already enjoying reliable hot water again. Our team handled the full removal and installation quickly and cleanly, leaving the utility space better than we found it. If your water heater is aging or underperforming, contact Deft Plumbing to get it sorted out.

Summer Plumbing Tip: Check Your Outdoor Faucets! 🚰

With summer in full swing, your outdoor faucets are working harder than ever.
Whether you’re watering the lawn, washing the car, or filling up the kiddie pool.

Take a few minutes to inspect your outdoor spigots and hose connections for any leaks, drips, or pooling water.

Even a small leak can waste hundreds of gallons of water over the course of the season.

✅ Check for dripping when the faucet is turned off
✅ Look for cracks around the faucet or hose connection
✅ Inspect hoses for wear and damage

Catching a minor issue early can help prevent water waste down the road!

Notice an issue? Give DEFT Plumbing a call before it becomes a bigger problem. We’re here to help keep your plumbing running smoothly all summer long!

🌧️ HEAVY RAIN IN COLORADO? YOUR SUMP PUMP MATTERS MORE THAN YOU THINK.

Here in Brighton and along the Front Range, these sudden storms and heavy rain, this can overwhelm your home fast.

🚨 WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
• Pump running nonstop
• Strange noises (grinding or clicking)
• Water or damp spots in your basement
• Musty smells or high humidity
• Sump pit not draining properly

🏔️COLORADO-SPECIFIC RISKS:
• Frozen discharge lines in winter
• Power outages during storms
• Slow-draining clay soil putting extra stress on your system

🛠️ PRO TIPS:
• Test your sump pump before storm season
• Make sure your discharge line is clear & extended away from your home
• Clean your sump pit annually
• Consider a battery backup system (especially during storms!)

A working sump pump can be the difference between a dry basement and thousands in water damage.

If you’re unsure your system is ready, DEFT Plumbing is here to help.
