This is a breaker that we found in the inside panel. The homeowner stated that some lights in his office and bedroom were flickering. We started to take apart joints to see if we could find the issue and all the joints looked fine. I noticed that not only was the lights in the office and bedroom were flickering, but some in the foyer and bathroom were as well. This almost made it certain that it was a breaker. We popped the breaker out and found this. Replaced the breaker and the circuit worked properly.

The homeowner stated that the receptacle was not working anymore. We noticed scorch marks on the outside of the plug. Once we pulled the receptacle out, we found the screw was not tightened down on one of the hots. We replaced the receptacle and ensured that everything was tight on the receptacle.

Are you worried about power outages due to bad weather? Or outages due to unforseen circumstances? A standby generator coupled with an automatic transfer switch is the solution. You will not have to worry about going out and turning it out and putting fuel in it. It automatically turns on when the power goes out and shuts off when the power comes back on. This is a 22kw Generac generator that we installed.

Some parking lot lights that we updated. They had old 400w metal halide orange off putting lights that were not doing the job. Some worked and some did not. We installed new 150w LED parking lot lights and replaced two wall packs on the back of the building.

A customer stated that half of the living room receptacles were not working and lights were flickering in the living room and the bathroom. We started to investigate and found this receptacle. Why does this happen? It could be a couple of different reasons. The loose connection with the wires being stuck in the back could be one reason. Another could be the load(space heater, hair dryer, etc) that was on the circuit. It could also be a combination of the two that would cause something like this. We recommend stripping the wire back and attaching the wire directly to the screws and not overloading the circuit to stay away from these problems.
