Roman craftsmen made this tiny gold lock roughly 1,600 years ago. Despite measuring only about half an inch, scans revealed a real iron mechanism with a spring, bolt, guide, and key pin inside.

Joseph Bramah did. He displayed his challenge lock in London and offered **200 guineas** to anyone who could open it without the key.

In 1851, American locksmith Alfred Charles Hobbs succeeded. It took him **51 hours of work over 16 days**.

Another commercial door brought back to proper working order. 🔐

This door had a broken hinge mounting plate, and the existing door closer had been installed incorrectly. We replaced the damaged door, installed and adjusted a new commercial door closer, repaired the necessary hardware, and keyed the new lock into the customer’s existing master key system.

The result: a properly closing, secure door that works the way it should.
