McCurtain County’s burn ban is in effect through November 2. All outdoor burning is prohibited—including firepits.

We’re finding firepits with ashes and used wood despite the extreme fire danger. Please help protect our guests, cabins, animals, neighbors, and forests:

🚫 Don’t burn or use firepits.
👀 See active burning? Report it to the authorities.
📢 Please share this reminder with anyone visiting the area.

Violating a county-issued burn ban is a misdemeanor and may result in a fine of up to $500, up to one year in jail, or both.

“We stayed at the Slideaway Hideaway cabin and enjoyed every minute! We celebrated a 60th birthday with family & friends, there was something for everyone. The adults took advantage of the views and relaxed on the back porch with coffee, w**e and football watching. Of course the slides kept the grandkids busy, to the point that they never wanted to leave. There is so much to do at this cabin you never need to leave. Movies, Games, Pool Table, Hot Tub, Sauna, Arcade Games, Gourmet style kitchen and so much more. Thanks for providing such a fun place.”
