While your in the field getting ready applying anhydrous and working ground take a look at your field edges. Remember when you Starr farming that field and could see the fence or drive down the lane and not scratch your old truck. Well the old truck is gone you can't see the fence and now you've scratched the new truck or didn't scratch it because you just started driving out in the fields a little farther. Mark you calendars for our annual dinner on the 25th! Our volunteers prepare and serve (when not on a call) a mouth-watering meal to help raise funds to support the Department. Unlike most Volunteer Fire Departments, the ones in Vernon County do not receive tax money and rarely receive grants. We must raise funds through fundraisers and dues. It takes around $10,000 to supply gear for just a single Firefighter and new apparatus costs $300,000. Your support is much appreciated! Feel free to share!

Well we haven't posted on a while because we've been broke down. We had a catastrophic failure with our 2620 bush hog. The center gear box fell through the floor and was not fixable. That means one of three things need to happen. 1 Quit, this won't happen with customers waiting on us.
2 Buy a new one, after looking at new ones and researching and then pricing I decided I can't afford a new one much less take it where I need it to go.
3 Design and build a new frame, re use everything possible.

Well I went with option 3. Center frame is done and ready for top skin. First time out street building and it raises much higher than expected. In this position it will cut down to 3" and up to 36". That should due.
