Hot temps are here and with that being said here are some Hot Weather Tips:
-When it is hot & humid make sure not to set your thermostat below 72*
-If the air is not cool coming out of the registers make sure your air filters are clean.
-Also, if you go outside & check the pipes that go from the outdoor condenser into the side of your house (the bigger one of the two) and you see that it has frost on it you should shut the A/C off but leave the fan running so it thaws the unit. Sometimes you will have to pull back the black foam that is wrapped around the piping. Thawing could take a couple of hours. Once it is thawed try & turn your AC on, if it still blows warm air then you will need to call for Service.
-When it is extremely hot outside (in the 90’s) sometimes the AC can’t keep up. If you can keep the house 20 degrees cooler than outside temp, nothing is probably wrong. If it continues to climb you will then need to call for Service.
-If you lose power for a period of time and the AC doesn’t work when the power returns check your circuit breakers to make sure they didn’t trip.
