5 Essential Questions to Ask Before Hiring a General Contractor 🏡

Choosing the right contractor can make the difference between a stressful renovation and a successful one. Before signing a contract,

make sure you ask these important questions:

✅ 1. Are You Licensed and Insured?
Always verify that your contractor has the proper licenses and insurance to protect your property and investment.

✅ 2. Can You Provide References or Examples of Past Projects?
A reputable contractor should be happy to share testimonials, reviews, and photos of completed work.

✅ 3. What Is the Project Timeline?
Understanding the expected start date, milestones, and completion timeline helps avoid surprises.

✅ 4. How Will Communication Be Handled?
Clear communication is key. Ask who your main point of contact will be throughout the project.

✅ 5. What Is Included in the Estimate?
Make sure you understand what's covered, including labor, materials, permits, and any potential additional costs.
