Just an FYI if we get freezing temps that linger
*** FREEZE WARNING***
First hard freeze is coming! Please get everything in order to protect your pipes and faucets!
• Wrap pipes with insulation and wrap insulation with tape to water proof it.
• replace bulbs in heat lamps and point them toward pressure switch/ check valve.
• Make sure space heaters are working and thermostats work properly on them m
• drain systems if you don’t need them over night and leave faucets open.
• unhook all water hoses from faucets
• choose the furthest faucet from well and let a small stream run overnight.
• drip inside faucets but only the main ones so you don’t flood septics.
•make sure the tube under the pressure switch is insulated.
• if the pop off valve on top of the well head starts spraying, turn power off it means your pipes are frozen and could cause problems for the pump.
Leave cabinet doors open at kitchen sink
Last but not least, if your pipes freeze please let it get above freezing for more than an hour before you make a service call.
