We recently announced that we will be undergoing a brand transition to take on the Protect Environmental name, logo, look, and feel. As we look forward to this next chapter in our story, we want to thank our Reliant Radon community for your support over the years! We are excited to continue to provide you with the same expert service you have come to expect from us, now under the Protect Environmental name.

Our former owner, Terry Kerwin, was drawn to the radon industry after spending part of her life flipping and selling homes. Through her business, she realized there was a greater need for proper radon procedures and education in her area that she could not find. After witnessing someone close to her lose their fight to lung cancer, she bought Reliant Radon Solutions in 2015 and set out on a mission to create more healthy indoor environments in her community with just one employee, one truck, and a passion for helping others.

She has been motivated to educate and develop meaningful relationships with her clients. You can find her actively involved all throughout her community, working with valuable partners toward a shared mission to educate on proper radon mitigation practices, raise awareness about the dangers of radon, and advocate for lung cancer victims.

Reliant Radon Solutions was built to fulfill the need for expert radon mitigation services done the right way. Investing in our team and constantly working to master our skills have been central to providing the level of quality service our clients deserve. Our focus is on protecting those in our communities by providing quality, trusted, and informed services to those who may be affected by radon-induced lung cancer.

We chose to join Protect Environmental because we have had a long-standing relationship with the leaders and have worked on jobs, advocacy, and awareness initiatives together over the years. Our values have always aligned - joining the family allows us to increase our capacity to bring greater radon education, advocacy, and quality to a broader community, which has been our goal from the start.

We were at the Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Education Conference at the Denver Convention Center last week, along with more than 3,000 attendees from 36 different states!

Colorado Governor, Jared Polis, spoke on the state law he signed last year, stating that every 4-year-old can attend preschool at no cost to their parents. We had lots of great conversations about how to protect our preschoolers (in Colorado and the greater U.S.) from exposure to gas in the places where they learn and play.

A radon test is the only way to measure the radon levels in your home. Radon can cause damage to your lungs when breathed, which is why it's important to know your radon risk and mitigate if your levels come back elevated.

Radon tests reveal a number measured in picocuries - which is a unit of radioactivity. The EPA recommends mitigation at 4.0 pCi/L. Although there is no safe level of radon, having a mitigation system installed is a safe and effective way to reduce the amount of radon in your home.

Our Director of Market Development, Terry Kerwin, spent the morning at the Colorado Capitol where a tribute was read by Senator Faith Winter about awareness.

Alongside her at the event were members from the ALA, members of , and Joanie Ryan, Senior Ms. Colorado, who is also advocating for lung cancer awareness while battling her own lung cancer fight as a life-long non-smoker.
