Pretty cool example of the layers that go into a patio before we even start laying pavers. Most customers think we just have to peel back the grass and slap some pavers down. Unless you want to be stubbing your toes on uneven pavers next year after the winter thaw it’s pertinent to get down to natural ground and build a solid base up from there. This customer’s project had lots going on.. an upper level patio with a gently sloping walkway leading to a lower circle fire pit area.

The back side of this fire pit area has about 3 feet of gravel, the front only has about 8 inches. When we say trust the process, this is what we mean!!
