Green Visions Landscape

There is a certain beauty in a landscape that feels as though it belongs there.

This project began with a blank canvas, and little by little, the space found its character. New sod brought the lawn back to life, while layered planting beds, fresh mulch, and carefully selected greenery created a softer transition between the home and the surrounding landscape.

The retaining walls added structure and definition, finished with blue stone caps that bring a natural material into the architecture of the space.

Behind all of it is a design that understands how to work with nature rather than against it. Next To Nature Landscape Design, Inc. brought the creative vision for the property, blending planting, stone, lawn, and structure in a way that feels considered but never overworked. There is an artistry in that balance—using the landscape itself as part of the composition.

Our role was to bring that vision into reality with the same attention to what happens beneath the surface. A complete irrigation system was installed to provide precise coverage to the lawn, along with drip irrigation for the planting beds, giving the landscape the foundation it needs to mature beautifully over time.

And after sunset, the story continues.

The landscape lighting was designed to reveal the property in a completely different way—adding warmth, depth, and a little bit of magic without taking away from the natural beauty of the design.

From the first stage of construction to the final detail, this is what happens when good design and careful ex*****on work together.

There’s something about a home at night that you simply don’t get during the day.

Good lighting has a lot to do with that.

It can bring out the architecture you may not notice during the day, make a porch feel inviting, give a walkway a sense of direction, or make a familiar space feel completely different after sunset.

The character of this home comes from its proportions, brickwork, columns, dormers, and the details that give it a sense of permanence. At night, carefully placed light brings those elements forward without competing for attention.

The columns create rhythm across the porch, while the illumination along the architecture adds depth and dimension. Softer areas of shadow remain between the light, giving the home a sense of contrast rather than simply making everything brighter.

That balance is what makes landscape lighting feel less like illumination—and more like design.

The details are what make an outdoor space feel complete.

Designed around the way this family wanted to live outdoors, this backyard brings together clean lines, natural textures, and purposeful spaces—from the pool and expansive natural lawn to the stonework, fire pit, and outdoor living areas.

And when the sun goes down, the landscape takes on a completely different character.

Throughout the property, three beautifully integrated outdoor structures create distinct moments for gathering, cooking, relaxing, and enjoying the landscape from different perspectives. Each one extends the comfort of the home while remaining naturally connected to the architecture and surrounding space.

A space designed for the day, transformed for the evening—and made to be enjoyed for years to come.

When lighting is thoughtfully integrated into the landscape and architecture, it does more than illuminate a home—it extends the way you experience it after sunset.

Thoughtfully designed outdoor lighting adds depth, warmth, and purpose—creating an environment that’s just as inviting at night as it is during the day.

Architecture, landscape, and light working together to create an outdoor environment that’s welcoming, functional, and timeless.

Every successful outdoor space starts with thoughtful design.

Working alongside Next to Nature Landscape Design,Inc this project was planned around how the family would actually live and gather outdoors. Every element was carefully selected to create a balance of function, comfort, texture, and visual harmony.

From the clean lines of the paver patio and the softness of the synthetic turf to the warmth of the outdoor kitchen, jacuzzi, and the StruXure pergola with integrated lighting, heaters, and fan, each feature has a purpose.

The result is an outdoor environment designed to be enjoyed throughout the year—whether relaxing with family, entertaining friends, or simply spending more time outside.

Great outdoor spaces aren’t defined by the number of features they include. They’re defined by how naturally everything works together.
