A retaining wall is only as good as what you don't see.
These old timber walls were failing — rotting out and making the whole space hard to navigate. The fix wasn't just new block. It was building it right from the ground up.
Here's what went in behind the wall: filter fabric to keep soil out, clean drainage stone to move water away, and segmental block engineered with geogrid to hold the load for decades.
Water is what kills retaining walls. Handle the water, and the wall does its job for life.
Now the property drains right, holds strong, and is finally easy to get around.
That's the difference between a wall that looks good on day one and a wall that's still standing in 40 years.
