🥶 Cold Weather Reminder from Macurak HVAC! ❄️

With these brutally cold temperatures, here are a few helpful tips to protect your home and your heating system:

✅ Let faucets drip. A slow drip from faucets on exterior walls can help prevent frozen pipes.
✅ Thermostats aren’t perfect. Your thermostat reading can be off by a few degrees, especially in extreme cold.
✅ Keep cabinet doors open. Especially under sinks on outside walls to let warm air circulate.
✅ Change filters & keep vents clear. Restricted airflow makes your system work harder in extreme temps.
✅ Don’t turn the heat way down at night. Recovery can be tough for your system when it’s this cold out.
