Another one down! 🏠🔨

This project started out with just some fascia, soffit and gutters. Then came new doors and windows. And this year, we tackled the roof and siding!

Yes, we know… “MCK Contracting” doesn’t have Roofing, Siding, Windows, Doors, and everything else in the name. 😂 But that doesn’t mean we don’t specialize in it!

What makes this project even more special is the trust this customer has put in us. In between all of the exterior work, we’ve also remodeled roughly 75% of their interior over the years.

We get asked all the time, “Can you make this look like that?”
In this case, the homeowners wanted their garage to look like the house — and of course, we said YES!

I know, I know… it doesn’t say “Siding” in our name, but rest assured, we do siding, and we do it great! 👊

We didn’t just slap siding on and call it a day. We took the time to pay attention to the details, including the eave braces. Instead of simply closing them up like we see so often, we actually trimmed them out and preserved the character of this older home.

Those are the details that make older homes special, and we believe they should be preserved, not covered up.

Another roof down for the week! 🏠🔨
We don’t get the opportunity to post every roof we complete, but we were able to knock out a couple this week—and this one was especially meaningful to us.
This customer lives a few hours away, and we never actually got the chance to meet in person. We simply talked over the phone, and they trusted us to take care of their mom’s home after it was damaged in a storm.
This is exactly what we strive for at MCK Contracting—the trust our customers put in us and knowing that when they choose MCK, the job is going to be done correctly and built to last.
Unfortunately, the previous roof installation had some issues, including improper materials used along the eaves that resulted in damaged wood. This is something we see far too often on homes we work on.
At MCK Contracting, we believe the right materials and proper installation matter. If something needs to be replaced, we replace it correctly rather than cutting corners and hoping it lasts.
