Matthew Bedard is the oldest of the Bedard Brothers and a proud family man. In 2013, he married his high school sweetheart, and together they are the parents of five children. A 2008 graduate of Strongsville High School, Matthew’s passion for hard work led him to pursue a career in the trades industry while simultaneously growing Bedard Brothers Landscaping. Matthew is not only hands-on with landscaping projects but also handles many of the behind the scenes aspects that keep a business running! His dedication to both his family and business has been a driving force in the company’s success. Matthew takes great pride in not only providing quality landscaping services but also in being a reliable and supportive presence for his community and team. Ryan Bedard is the youngest of the Bedard Brothers. In 2020, Ryan married his middle school sweetheart, and together they have two children. After graduating from Strongsville High School in 2012, Ryan went on to earn his bachelors degree from Lake Erie College in 2016. He then pursued a career in the trades industry and joined his brother to help grow Bedard Brothers Landscaping. Ryan is not only hands-on with landscaping projects but also oversees the maintenance and repair of the company’s equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Ryan’s dedication to both his work and his family has been central to his success and the continued growth of Bedard Brothers Landscaping.

I’ve been trying to find the right words to explain what Mapleside Farms means to Us and are family.

Because to most people, it’s a farm. A beautiful place to take your kids, enjoy the fall festivities, and spend a few hours together.

But I’ve come to realize that what makes Mapleside so special has very little to do with the attractions themselves.

It’s what happens while we’re there.

Every year, we’re blessed with a evening at Mapleside, bringing together generations of our family and closest friends. And every year, I make a video of that night.

I watch those videos from years past, and it’s incredible how much has changed. Kids who were once carried through the farm are now running through it. Faces have grown, families have grown, and somehow another year has passed.

But there’s something even bigger happening that I don’t think our kids could possibly understand yet.

They’re living through the memories they’ll spend the rest of their lives looking back on.

Right now, it’s just another exciting night at Mapleside to them. Running with their cousins, laughing with their friends, and making their way from one attraction to the next.

But 30, 40, or even 50 years from now, when they think about their childhood, I hope these nights are among the first things they remember.

I hope they remember their grandparents being there. Their parents laughing together. All the cousins and friends running wild.

And most importantly, I hope they remember what it felt like to have everyone together.

Because someday, the people in these videos will be the people they wish they could spend just one more evening with.

And that’s when they’ll understand what Mapleside really gave them.

To the Clement family and Billy, thank you for allowing us to make this an annual tradition. I don’t think you could ever fully understand what these evenings mean to me.

You’ve created something that will live in the hearts of families long after the attractions close and the seasons change.

Most people leave Mapleside with pictures of a fun day.

We leave with another chapter of a childhood our kids will never get to live twice. ❤️🍁

❄️🌱 FIRST FROST DOESN’T MEAN THE END OF MOWING SEASON!

With our first frost arriving here in Northeast Ohio, we wanted to share a few important facts about what this means for your lawn!

❄️ 1. FROST MAKES GRASS FRAGILE!

When frost forms, ice crystals can make grass blades more vulnerable to damage. Walking, mowing, or driving equipment across frosty grass can damage plant cells, leaving behind brown footprints and tire tracks.

🌱 2. FROST DOESN’T MEAN YOUR GRASS IS DEAD!

Our Northeast Ohio lawns are primarily made up of cool-season grasses designed to withstand cold temperatures. A little frost is completely normal and doesn’t mean your lawn is dying!

🚜 3. THE FIRST FROST DOES NOT END MOWING SEASON!

This is one of the biggest misconceptions in lawn care!

Cool-season grasses like Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and fescue thrive in cooler weather.

🌡️ Grass can continue growing well into November when conditions are favorable.

🌱 Even after a hard frost, grass can resume growing when temperatures warm back up.

🍂 Grass growth slows as soil temperatures drop, but one frosty morning doesn’t automatically send your lawn into winter dormancy.

The calendar doesn’t determine when mowing season ends. Mother Nature does!

💚 At Bedard Brothers Landscaping, we’ll continue maintaining our customers’ lawns as long as conditions allow and the grass continues growing.
