Paint is coming along here at our kitchen remodel in College Station. Our painters take their time, degreasing, sanding, cauking, priming and puttying blemishes before the finish coat goes on. Doing the prep right ensures your cabinets will look great for years to come. The finished color will be the classic Benjamin Moore color White Dove which will pair beautifully with their hardwood floors. More pictures to come as progress continues over the next couple weeks.

Here's an update on our magical "brick door":

The new door with integrated blinds is installed and Sisco Masonry laced in the brick beautifully. Opening up a home feels a little bit like surgery. Just like you wouldn't want your surgeon fresh out of med-school, you want skilled/experienced subs to ensure things go efficiently and the home's envelope is sealed back up in a timely manner. All of our subs have years of experience in their respective trades and they take pride in doing what they do with expertise. Interior and exterior paint is up next!

I’m pretty open with my customers and I like to think that is part of what makes working with Boxwood Carpentry unique. In the spirit of openness here is a picture of some homemade bread I made this weekend. I’ve been really enjoying bread baking over the last couple months and was gifted a great bread-baking book from my mother-in-law to help me up my game. Looking forward to more bakes in the new year!
