Shift function and adjustment were checked upon arrival and found to be within spec. However, disassembly revealed premature wear and rounding on the dog clutch teeth.

This wear pattern points to an issue with the machine’s air system that prevented the dog clutch from fully disengaging. Continued partial engagement damaged both the dog clutch and the mating differential half, ultimately causing them to fail.
