We’ve had the opportunity recently to do a few really cool projects squeezed in between mowing and snow plow season!

Spreading holiday cheer in a neighborhood near you, we fit in a few Christmas light installs 🎄. Using C9 sized, LED “big bulbs” and custom cut socket wire and installation clips here’s a few places looking excellent just in time for the holiday.

These installs are different than usual - no big box store lights, excess coiled at the ends. These are setup to be used year after year, fitting perfectly around windows, doors, dormers, and more. Utilizing LED bulbs, they’re more efficient than standard incandescent lights all while giving off the look of traditional warm white, or multi-color if chosen.

We had a blast tonight at the Bangor Rotary’s annual Festival of Lights Parade. The GGS “Landscape Grinch who Commandeered the Christmas Sleigh” and BPS “Landscape Grinch who Crunched Christmas” were definitely a hit.

We hope to see you all next week too, at the Parade of Lights & Fireworks in Downtown Bucksport, on 12/10 starting at 6:00 pm!

We are currently working through the full plow route for this storm, doing initial passes to clear out driveways for accessibility. Everything will be cleaned up again in the morning once the snow has completely stopped.

Here's the latest snowfall forecast.... the only change made was to add a "+" sign to the 6-10" Downeast as a few 11" or 12" amounts can't be ruled out mainly in Washington County. Snowfall totals will diminish as you travel north & west across the state.

Fisher’s got it right! GGS runs on Fisher equipment for our snow plowing and ice control; they came across a photo from one of our storms last winter.

Special Cargo Alert 🚨

Jolly Old Saint Nick 🎅, Mrs. Claus 🤶 and some trusty special elves cashed in frequent-flyer miles on a quick round-trip from the North Pole down to Bucksport! Tasked with traversing Santa through Bucksport’s Parade of Lights route, the GGS crew got some face time with the Big Man and hopefully that keeps us on the ‘nice list’ this Christmas.

There were so many great floats, an awesome turnout of folks lining the streets, and Christmas cheer everywhere! 🎄🎁
