The secret to a fence that lasts? It's underground. 👇

On a recent installation, we removed the existing posts and found only 13 inches of concrete below the surface. Here in Texas, that's just not enough to hold up against shifting soil, wind, and weather.

A good rule of thumb is posts should be set AT LEAST 1/3 of the total fence height into the ground, though that can vary depending on how they're set. But post depth is just one piece of the puzzle. The best fences come down to the right materials, proper technique, attention to detail, and years of experience knowing what works and what doesn't.

When getting quotes, don't be afraid to ask a company about their process. We make sure our quotes are detailed, so you're always comparing apples to apples - not oranges.

We love a project that does two things at once: privacy AND stunning curb appeal. This 6' horizontal cedar privacy fence transitions right into a 6' flat-top, flat-bottom iron fence, custom-built for this Austin couple from start to finish.

Not every yard calls for the same solution. This one transitioned from 6’ to 8’ tall, with a shadow-box design and trim on fronts and interiors for that finished look, built with steel posts!

This was for a great neighbor of ours, which always adds a little extra meaning to the work. Grateful to be trusted with another home here in our community!

We had the opportunity to build a custom fence for the new in downtown Austin as their new space comes together 👏

This project features an 8’ tall custom herringbone privacy fence with a horizontal cedar topper, designed to complement the look and feel of the space while adding privacy and structure.

We know they’re still waiting on final utility updates before opening, but Austin - this is one worth the wait 🥯

Another project we’re grateful to be a part of in Hays Country Oaks!

We recently completed 400'+ of 6’ tall black ornamental iron fencing with a 12’ drive gate, giving this property a clean, classic look while still allowing for visibility and openness.

This fence was built to follow the natural slope of the land, creating a smooth, flowing finish that fits the property beautifully.
