🔥 Why hire 3rd Gen Roofing? Because details matter—especially when it comes to wildfire resiliency.
We’re not just installing roofs. We’re making sure the entire roofing system is built correctly for Colorado’s increasingly demanding wildfire-resiliency requirements.
On this project, that means:
✅ ASTM D3909-compliant valley liner installed over ice & water protection
✅ 26-gauge steel valley metal installed over the top for added durability and fire resistance
✅ Steel mesh with openings no greater than 1/8" protecting roof ventilation openings against ember intrusion
✅ Proper detailing throughout the roofing system to help meet Colorado Wildfire Resiliency standards
This home also had a thermal solar system, so instead of simply tearing into equipment outside our scope, we partnered with a licensed mechanical company to properly permit, remove, and reinstall the system as part of the roofing project.
Wildfire-resistant construction isn't just about choosing a Class A roofing material. The valleys, vents, penetrations, flashings, and surrounding assemblies all matter.
Don't trust just any roofer to “figure it out” as they go.
Choose a contractor who understands the details, coordinates the right trades, pulls the proper permits, and builds the complete roofing system the way it should be built.
