A country club in Lake Zurich called when their commercial walk-in cooler stopped holding temperature.

The culprit was a failed TXV - thermostatic expansion valve.
This valve controls refrigerant flow into the evaporator coil, and when it fails, the system loses the ability to regulate cooling regardless of how hard the compressor works.

It's a failure that can look like several different problems before you trace it to the valve.

We replaced the TXV and verified refrigerant flow and temperature recovery before wrapping up.

A golf club in Des Plaines reached out when their Everest prep table stopped holding temperature, a problem that can't wait in a working kitchen.
After diagnosis, we located a refrigerant leak and found the evaporator coil had failed. The process: leak detection first, then evaporator coil replacement, system recharge, and a full temperature verification before the unit was returned to service.
Skipping any step in that sequence means the repair isn't complete - and the unit will fail again.

Reach-In Cooler Repair - Buffalo Grove Deli ❄️

These photos show a recent compressor replacement we completed for a deli in Buffalo Grove.

The reach-in cooler wasn’t holding temperature, putting perishable products at risk.
After diagnosing a failed compressor, we replaced it, tested pressures, verified refrigerant levels, and restored stable cooling performance.
