**Lights Out Alert This Weekend**

Heads up birders, a lot of migration is expected during Labor Day Weekend. The fall migration season is about to kick into high gear. We have a unique set up this weekend as a strong area of low pressure in the Atlantic will be tilted just right to provide a wind from the north to northeast across the Northeast and eastern Great Lakes region. The low level wind flow will continue to guide birds toward the Gulf. Saturday night will likely be the biggest migration night of the weekend with more than 300 million birds in flight. We are about 2-3 weeks away from the fall migration peak. You can help by turning off those outdoor lights on big migration nights.

Friendly reminder to save some of that seed. Join our seed exchange and spread the wealth! We turn over thousands of seeds yearly and only plan on growing that. So far we have had no one hit us up for identifications 😿 We want to make sure we are getting the right seeds for example there are multiple types of joe pye, blazing star, maples, birch, honeysuckle the list goes on. The more specialized we can get the better we can track who is where and thriving! We are looking for old established plants as well not just the fancy stuff. If you have an old oak or tulip tree for example we wanna talk! The goal is to collect NY seed. Hey! We’re growin here!
