Today we say goodbye — but more importantly, thank you — to Michael Neumann who gave an incredible 29 years of dedication, hard work, loyalty, and heart to this job.

It’s hard to imagine the office without your steady presence, your experience, your stories, and the impact you’ve had on everyone lucky enough to work beside you. While we’re excited for this next chapter of retirement and all the well-deserved relaxation ahead, it definitely won’t be the same around here without you.

Thank you for nearly three decades of commitment and memories that will last far beyond your last day. Wishing you nothing but happiness, good health, and endless adventures in retirement.

The AIA Buffalo/WNY Annual Service Awards will be presented on May 21, 2026 at the Terrace at Delaware Park. They were established to recognize dedicated individuals and firms from the local chapter.

This year, partner Matthew Etu, has been selected to receive the Joseph Siracuse Award. This award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated the highest, most consistent and supportive professional relationship with the architectural community. This honor has only been bestowed thirteen times in the last 31 years. Past winners include founder Ed Tredo, Siracuse Engineers Peter Grace, and Joy Keubler Landscape Architect.

Matt is honored and humbled to be named among such a prestigious group.

Completed a site visit this morning for one of our projects in construction. The contractors had just started work on the column free first floor solution we developed. 🤞

After more than 8 years of planning, fundraising, design and construction, the new, expanded Visitor's Center at Frank Lloyd Wright's Graycliff in Debry, NT celebrated its ribbon cutting!

Graycliff Executive Director Anna Kaplan said, “This project was absolutely critical to Graycliff's future. We can now welcome visitors year-round with proper amenities, expand our educational mission, and create sustainable revenue streams that will support preservation for generations to come. This visitor center fundamentally transforms what we can offer and ensures this architectural treasure remains accessible and vibrant for the next hundred years.”

LeChase Construction Regional Operations Manager Chris Kulik said, “The new Visitor Center at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Graycliff is a great example of what’s possible when committed partners come together on a shared vision. We’re proud to have worked alongside Graycliff, the HHL Architects team, and all other design and trade partners to deliver a space that enhances the visitor experience while honoring the history and architecture that make this site so special.

Tredo Engineers is excited to welcome our second hire this year, our new draftsperson, Meryl Lafargue.

Meryl holds a Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Technology from Alfred State. As an Architectural Designer/Drafter, she has contributed to diverse projects, including theaters, schools, and furniture. In her previous roles, Meryl has also worked as a 3D visualization artist and an Administrative Assistant. She enjoys watching science fiction television and playing video games.

Tredo Engineers is happy to introduce the newest member of our engineering staff, Claudia Patricia Murillo Melo!

Claudia is a Civil Engineer with 16 years of experience in structural design, with a Master’s Degree in Construction from the National University of Colombia, former Fulbright Scholar, and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering at the State University of New York, Buffalo.

Throughout her career Claudia has worked on a wide variety of projects, including design of concrete and brick houses, water treatment plants, retaining and hydraulic structures for highways, and in administrative roles such as the administrative deputy director of the National Tax and Customs in her home country, Colombia.

Claudia loves to travel, dance and go hiking. She is the mother of a beautiful Buffalonian Baby.
