The complexities of the building materials inside your home are layered, when performing renovations or constructions on your property you may discover any number of surprises. Here at Unyse Environmental we work hard to make sure you dnt run into anything that could pose a threat to you or anyone's health. In this instance that brown spongey looking material in the door frame was a vermiculite fill discovered between layers of plaster and wood!

When preparing to do a renovation project its best to eliminate surprises before the work begins. in this instance there are 3 layers of flooring underneath the surface tile that if undiscovered until it was time to remove them, would have resulted in job site delays while the flooring was either tested or treated as acm. Believe it or not but the most dangerous thing in this picture isn't the color of the tile but the asbestos in it. During a recent renovation project UNYSE discovered 9"x9" asbestos containing tile in the emergency stairwells.
