The top picture is a great example showing the comparison between a lawn left entirely alone aside from the typical maintenance (shown below to the LEFT of the the red line...notice the overwhelming number of w**ds engulfing the yard on the left a, here being totally uncontrolled).

Yet, here you will also notice how ALL of the w**ds found in the lawn to the left of the Red Line stop immediately upon the property line and proceed to straddle that line all the way down to the concrete.

-Starting in May is the prime time to begin aerations and fertilization for your Bermuda/Zoysia lawns as we begin to get into the summer months!!!

-This is done primarily to alleviate any soil compaction that may be present beneath the turf, establish proper root development and create a healthy, vibrant and vigorous lawn!

-In the photo below is an example of what is being done for your lawn.

***Pro Tip: Pe*****te your turf grass using a tool like a screw driver. If the screw driver has any difficulty getting into the soil, is met with any kind of resistance or otherwise is not easily slipped into the soil: ITS AERATION TIME!

Beginning of another Residential Turf Painting service for one of our Bermuda customers. Why wait with a brownish-tan colored lawn during a drought or during the cool season when you can have a pristine and green lawn all year long!? In our region, perennial warm-season turf grasses (meaning they come back each year, actively growing in the warmer months) such as bermuda, centipede & zoysia grasses go through a cycle of dormancy in a the cooler months when temperatures drop below about 55° F, and comes out of dormancy once soil temperatures begin to exceed that number, and also will go into dormancy during extended periods of drought. This dormancy period means the turf is no longer actively growing and is therefore instead conserving it’s water and nutrients during this time of inactivity. Similarly, dormancy can occur in the summer due to excessive heat and turf stress. In both cases, this is why your Bermuda, zoysia or centipede grass lawns have that unpleasant brown coloration during these periods, and that’s where we can help! Our turf paint is organic, environmentally safe and ensured to aesthetically bring your lawn back to its vibrant peak with absolutely zero risk of damage to the grass, and in fact, agricultural studies have shown that turf painting during dormancy can actually help serve as a protectant to the turf grass during this period.
