So the most common question I get asked is, "what do you charge to cut down a tree?"
My usual response is, "between $1 and $10,000." There are many factors that go into the price. I.e. access with equipment, hard/soft targets in the trees immediate vicinity such as landscaping, flower beds, structures, furniture, etc. I can't give a price with out actually seeing the project and pictures usually don't do it justice.
Id say the most average cost is between $1,200-$2500 including stump grinding and clean up.
Little tiny trees say 15ft and under around $150.
I've quoted one singular tree at $42,000 before (glad I didn't get that one 😅)
It's a struggle to run a "reputable" tree service in a very rural area. I've cut trees from Reva to Yankton and everywhere in between.
Hope this helps a little, even a quick 5 minute Google search can give you a broad idea for your project IF you have an idea of the size and type of tree it is.
