I haven’t posted in forever. Working on another rocking chair. I’m terrible at social media overall, not one of my talents for sure. But hey, here’s a weird issue I encountered. This chair has somehow been drilled out several times and I have no way to secure a connection between the pieces. I think I have a solution, but who knows! I’m just literally posting to post because I haven’t done it since June! lol. Send ideas if you have one!

PS: dropped a noodle on my brand new Hokas, that sucks. 🤷‍♂️

Just finished this awesome little table! Had a chance to combine two of my favorite activities building this, super fun build! I may make a few more with some different models and colors, not sure yet.

The bench swing is done! I was able to reuse all of the original wood, which my goal from the beginning was to use as much as i could to keep the bench swing as close to original as possible. I tried inlaying crushed gems for the first time on this project. It didn’t turn out exactly like I would have wanted, ideally I could have created a cleaner look, but it works for this piece in a way. Kind of a reminder that life isn’t perfect and will throw us all curveballs sometimes. I hope the owner of this gets to enjoy this sentimental piece for years to come. Now onto the next thing!

Bench is coming along nicely! I was able to salvage all of the old pieces, there are still some pieces that need a little work, but we are finally at the staining stage. Now onto assembly. One big mistake I made was removing all of the marking tape that identified where each piece went, specifically the slats. Going to be a fun puzzle to get figured out I guess. 😂

It has been a good while since I posted anything! Winter is over, garage is back in action. Have a beautiful bench that is very sentimental to the owner. Going to fix this thing up and get it back good as new!

Haven’t been very active in the shop recently, work and life keeping me super busy! I did find time to turn this ceremonial mace for a graduation ceremony in the Philippines. Super fun project and the customer was very happy!

Finally finished this height board for Emi. It’s been waaaay too hot to I really do anything in the shop so this has been sitting for 2 months unfortunately. Added a fun Wildflower woodburn image to this board. Done now, ready for pickup. Y’all stay cool out there if you can!

Finished the funeral flag box for Courtney’s grandparents. The exterior of the box is African mahogany, the additional holder pieces are walnut. Challenging build with the flag holders and the bullet display. I was hoping to have it completed for the 4th but just missed it. Either way, it turned out to be a great piece that showcases their individual funeral flags together.
