I haven't done any of these larger jobs for a long while, life got in the way. Here we have a porch cover for the Edmunds' of Burleson, Texas. Cedar construction with 2"×6" pine roof decking and shingles to match existing home. Mayhap I still have "it". Clients seem very pleased.

A transition for an unused formal dining room for the Edmunds' of Burleson, Texas. Mr
Edmunds plans to use this newly rehabbed area of the home as a game room. The dartboard was in place when we began, the Pacman console arrived today, the Golden Tee console will arrive soon. I am positive a big screen t.v. will be added. I am sure Mrs. Edmunds will also add her magic touch to the venue. This is difficult for me to say, but here it goes...........GO LIONS!!

Mr. Edmunds is a die hard Detroit fan. I wish them luck

It's been a while since I've do a photo worthy project ( lots of doors, windows, and such) but this one is. A pool cabana for the Taylors, of Godley, Texas. We attempted to blend it with the existing home. Board and batten siding, matching the existing paint scheme, and stained pine tounge and groove interior wall and soffit to match the existing porch soffit. Feels good to create again.

A long time has passed since I've had any photo worthy projects ( lots of doors and windows and such) but this one is. A pool cabana for the Taylor's of Godley, Texas. We attempted to blend the new structure with the existing home. We installed board and batten siding, along with matching paint scheme, and stained tounge and groove material at the back wall and soffit to mirror the existing porch soffit.

This small project, for the Adkins' of Arlington Texas, made such a difference in the space that I decided to post the results. We took a small unused closet by the back door and created a "mud bench". Not a large space, but a HUGE improvement with much more usability. Other projects are underway at the house, will post when completed.

I don't usually post my smaller jobs, but here is an exception. This, for the Adkins' of Grand Prairie, Texas, is a repair of a door desperately wanted passed by the family dog. I met the dog, and he is truly likable when not confined. I hope their home sale proves good for them.

It hasn't been all work here. I took a few days and traveled to South Carolina to meet Landen Forrest Thompson. A third grandchild for Old Pa, delivered by my youngest daughter and her husband (he's an Army Paratrooper, among other things. OOOHH RAAAHHH!). A really big boy at 9+ pounds and 21" tall, I refer to him as "Little Big Man". Blessed........

I haven't posted in a bit. Here is a deck for Mr. Tooley of Pantego, Texas. He designed it to compliment his existing masonary patio, and to cover up some dreaded maintainance hungry back yard.

We are revisiting a beginning post from November 2018. The Mortons, of Plano, Texas, provided some completion photos of the pipe and board shelves I erected in November. The shelving is totally complimented by the placement of the many books, encyclopedias, tomes, souvenirs, and knick knacks placed by Mrs. Morton. She created what seems to be a warm and comfortable office space. I thanked her for making my work look good.

Here is somewhat a departure for me, but I felt "up to the task". A set of wall-filling shelves constructed of 3/4" black steel pipe and fittings as the supports and hand milled 5/4"×11 1/4" pine as the shelving. This is for the Morton's of Plano, Texas. An office accent for a self-described bibliophile. I can relate.

It has been a while since I have added anything here. Winter has brought an onslaught of small projects that were not really photoworthy. Many repairs, doors, windows, and the like. Here, I returned to the Trent's in Arlington, Texas. I constructed the pergola, and "flipped" the deck boards a few years ago. Time told it's story, and the origional decking finally gave up the ghost. We replaced the old with new pressure treated 5/4"×6" material. Here's to hoping this is the last time they will have to worry about repairs of this ilk!
