We put a lot of extra effort and care into making sure our building envelopes are done right. It’s one of those parts of a project you won’t see when the building is finished, but it makes a difference for decades.

For the Kiowa County Ambulance Facility, we’re using 2” of closed-cell spray foam with 7” of BIBS fiberglass, giving us right around R-40 in the wall cavities and a highly efficient building envelope built for Colorado conditions.

If you’re going to invest in a new building, make sure it’s built to perform long after the crews leave. Build it right the first time.

Front range to south East Colorado. Have to keep moving. The guys have been banging out the exterior work while me and the others trying to keep the pace ahead of them. Finalizing a few framing details this morning so we get insulation done this weekend in preparation for the HVAC and plumbing for the Kiowa county ambulance facilty. I think I’ve heard oh you’re the boss, how lucky you must be to get to do whatever you want a few thousand times in my life. lol. Hope everyone enjoys their long weekend.

The morning crew beat me to the site as they always do. On the down hill of wrapping it things up. Little more skin to put on, some upper mezzanine framing and on to the next. Happy Friday.

One of the more challenging builds we’ve taken on—not because of its size, but because of all the structural details and engineering required to give our client exactly what he wanted. Not to mention the jobsite hazard we encountered as well 🐍

His request for no wood in the ground led us to utilize Perma-Columns with a foundation extending 7’4” deep, 24” and 36” pier footings, and 3’ steel extensions embedded into concrete to lock the columns into position.

Highly expansive soils, an upper-floor mezzanine, steel beam headers and main beams, along with 20 window openings, 4 overhead door openings added significantly to the engineering. Shear walls on three sides extend from the bottom plank to eave at 17’ providing the required lateral strength.

One of the reasons this client chose us and our Wick Buildings was our ability to deliver what others said would be too difficult. We build and engineer these structures as once-in-a-lifetime investments—built to last for generations.

Love the way this kitchen came together. Our new Shale cabinet color is becoming a popular choice, and it’s easy to see why. Most importantly, the clients are in love with their new kitchen too!

Projects like the new Kiowa County Ambulance Building are a reminder of what makes small-town communities special. It takes local businesses, local trades, and strong partnerships to build the facilities and infrastructure that keep rural communities moving forward.

One of the greatest strengths of communities like Kiowa County is having quality services provided by people who live and work in the area they serve. H & H Electric’s investment in their hometown community brings a level of pride, accountability, and commitment that shows in the work they do every day.

Fat Puppy Construction is proud to work alongside local companies that share those values and take pride in helping their communities grow and succeed.

As a proud authorized Wick Buildings builder, we’re equally proud to represent a company that continues to lead the post-frame industry through superior engineering, innovative building systems, quality materials, and a commitment to standing behind their products and builders. Their reputation as an industry leader has been earned through decades of delivering buildings designed to perform for generations.

This project represents more than just another building. It’s an investment in the future of Kiowa County and in the first responders who serve the community every day.

We're proud to share an exciting update: H & H Electric is currently underway on the new Kiowa County Ambulance Building — one of several meaningful projects taking shape right here in our community, and one we are truly honored to be a part of.

When it comes to a project like this, quality isn't just a priority — it's everything. That's why Chad Bell, Master Electrician and Owner, and Cory Miller, Electrician, will be on-site personally overseeing the work from start to finish. When
H & H Electric puts our name on a project, we stand behind every wire, every panel, and every connection.

A special thank you to Landon Richards at Fat Puppy Construction LLC for serving as General Contractor on this project and for trusting us to be part of his team. We don't take that trust lightly.

We can't think of a more meaningful project than ensuring the Kiowa County ambulance agency has the reliable lights and power they need to keep serving this community when it matters most.

With over 17 years of extensive commercial electrical experience, our team has the skills and dedication that projects of this scale demand. Kiowa County is our priority — it always has been, and it always will be. We've been committed to powering the homes, farms, businesses, and commercial projects that make this county prosper, and that won't change.

The future of this community is bright, and we're honored to help build it.

Thinking about your next electrical project? Give us a call — we'd love to help.

After some severe damage to the school’s gym floor, all the demo has been completed and we are one step closer to helping them get the gym back open. I’m sure they are ready to start using it again.
