Town Hall Theater in Middlebury has expanded with an $8 million addition, which includes new rehearsal and performance spaces, a scene shop, and gathering areas for the community. Central to the new complex is a courtyard formed by the building addition which is used for outdoor performances, community gatherings and to host food vendors for events. This new space acts as a welcoming mat of sorts strengthening the community relations central to the theaters mission.

We are excited to announce that Gabrielle ‘Abby’ Comeau was promoted to associate. Congratulations Abby!
Abby was raised in a small Adirondack town with a big community. Her interest in landscape architecture developed while living in France, where she experienced the role that landscape plays in fostering community and enhancing environmental well-being. Abby’s undergraduate degree in History informs her design approach. She seeks to respect each site’s historical and environmental context, while enhancing the land for future generations.
Abby holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Bowdoin College, and a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Texas. Prior to joining WHLA, Abby worked in Austin, Texas on urban infill projects.
