Creating Character in the Landscape 🌿

For this project, the client came to us with a clear vision of exactly what they wanted for their front garden. Working from their ideas, we installed winding pebble pathways that weave through the landscape, creating small garden islands around existing plants and trees.

To complete the project, we installed a river rock drainage feature to help direct excess water and improve drainage in problem areas.

A simple, thoughtful design that adds both beauty and function to the landscape while staying true to the homeowner's vision.

This is an update to a previous river rock project we completed in Burlington - now finished with shade planting, fresh mulch, and a new irrigation system to help everything thrive under the tree canopy.

A Fresh Planting Along the Fence Line 🌿
This client wanted to add life and privacy to her backyard, so we extended the existing beds and installed a mix of low-maintenance plants and trees along the entire fence line.

With a combination of evergreens, seasonal color, and emerald trees for added privacy, the space now feels fuller and more defined. We also added Japanese maples in the corners and a weeping cherry as statement pieces to bring character to the garden.

For this project, we updated and redefined the landscape around the entire property to create a more intentional and cohesive layout.

We installed natural stone steps to navigate a steep slope, refreshed planting areas around the existing garden walls, and enhanced the landscaping throughout the property. The driveway was also refinished and complemented with a new center plant bed to bring everything together.

Solving Drainage and Creating Structure 🌿

For this project, we installed two retaining walls and river rock dry creek beds to manage water flow and stabilize the property. The front retaining wall creates a level lawn above, while the rear wall supports a large slope behind the home.

The winding creek beds guide runoff toward a large culvert pipe, helping prevent drainage issues while adding a natural element to the landscape. We also completed a full lawn renovation, correcting grading and problem drainage areas.

The surrounding areas will be planted and landscaped in the future, but even in the winter season the structure of the project is already taking shape.

Lighting Done Right ✨

For this project, we installed integrated step lighting during construction so each fixture can be easily accessed and replaced if needed in the future.

We also added exterior lighting to highlight the back of the home and pathway lighting leading down to the dock — creating a safe, welcoming glow from house to water.

We installed a custom patio with steps flowing down from the porch, a seat wall set between two pillars with custom natural stone top cap, and a firepit to complete the space.

Transforming Slopes into Structure 🌿

This recent project in Alamance County involved installing large retaining walls to make room for a new driveway on a challenging slope.

The driveway now sits securely atop a reinforced retaining wall, with additional tiered walls stabilizing the surrounding grade and preparing the space for future landscaping above.

From concept to completion, we handle both the design and the build.
