The people at this residence called us last week due to a basement flooding issue when a hard rain occurred. We fixed the problem immediately, then we had to tear out the carpet and padding underneath because it was waterlogged. After doing all this, we went around their property and started picking out some flaws and made a list of things that were either crucial to fixing immediately or just cosmetic issues.
We are doing what we have to in order to save the family some major bucks at the end of the day, but yet raising the bar by making these issues look appealing to the eye.
The retaining wall was falling over so we tore it down and pressure washed their existing stones, but pointing out to them that the “caps” that were put on by the previous company really looked unappealing. So we used their existing wall block, put in new drains, and recapped their Versalok brand wall using Keystone brand Black Onyx caps.
The result is quite remarkable. And we also took away quite a few loads of dirt because it shouldn’t have been there in the first place. Here are the results so far, more pictures to follow next week as this is just a few of the things we have wrapped up this week.
