Fanatical Fish Small retail art gallery featuring the work of muralist Kelly Meredith and other local artists I am a muralist living in downtown Butternut, WI.

I bought this building which is three doors down from my home in October of 2014 as a mural studio. It had been a heating and plumbing store and as such had a large display space for vanities, sinks, toilets, etc. I converted that into gallery space which opened May 25 of 2015. I had been doing a nice side business as a landscape painter showing in other galleries in the area so this seemed like

a natural tie in; I work in the back on various mural projects while tending the gallery as people come and go. I do show the work of other artists and I plan to start Saturday workshops starting in the fall of 2016. I just started my website and I am working out the bugs. Right now, if you use the http:// in front of the address, www.fanaticalfish.com you will get a privacy error notice. Not sure why, and I'm trying to work that out. But, if you eliminate that and just go with www.fanaticalfish.com it works. If anyone can tell me why this is happening, great. I would appreciate the help.

There is still room in the watercolor techniques class Saturday, August 29 starting at 10 am at Fanatical Fish in Butternut. Local artist Mary Zimmerman will walk you through a variety of watercolor techniques in the morning which you will then apply in the afternoon to create your own finished painting. There is still room in the window sparkler class this Saturday. This class is meant for children ages 8-12 ( there is some flexibility on the ages). Parents or grandparents are welcomed to attend with their children but it's not a requirement. The class runs 10 am to noon and costs only $12. Got kids? Got grandkids? Then Fanatical Fish has a class for you. On Saturday, August 22 the gallery will host a window sparkler class for kids aged 8-12. Yes, kids can work with glass. This is a wonderful, intergenerational class where parents and kids can work together under the direction of artist, Jean Leland to create a wonderful 5x7 glass mosaic that can be hung in a window. Just reminding everyone that Fanatical Fish will have its annual Pioneer Days Art Fair on Saturday, July 25 from 10 am to 2pm. My studio will be packed with local artists- buy directly from them and save some money. As always, I will have food and beverages. Stay posted. I will feature an artist every few days.
