We built this Timber Frame house when we were Amish, The wood is white Ash, we milled the logs on our sawmill and planed 4 sides of the timbers with our M512 Newman planer, the joinery was all done with hand tools, purlins have dove tail joints done with an adz. (We currently use power tools and Douglas Fir Timbers)
