Another yard transformation completed! 🌱🚜

We recently finished a project where we graded the yard and installed new sod to give this home a clean, fresh look.

For this job, the customer only wanted sod installed a few yards out from the front of the house to improve curb appeal while keeping the rest of the yard natural and low maintenance. We worked with exactly what they wanted and made sure everything blended together smoothly.

Whether you need full yard grading, topsoil, sod installation, drainage work, or just a smaller touch-up project, we can help bring your property back to life.

If you’ve ever dealt with standing water in your yard, you’ve probably heard of French drains and catch basins—but how do they actually work together?

A French drain is essentially a hidden drainage system designed to move water away from problem areas. It’s a trench filled with gravel and a perforated pipe. When water seeps into the ground, it enters the pipe through small holes and is carried away to a safer discharge point, like a ditch or storm drain.

A catch basin, on the other hand, is the entry point for surface water. It’s typically a box (often with a grate on top) installed in low spots where water collects. As rainwater flows across your yard or driveway, it drains into the basin, which also helps trap debris like leaves and dirt so they don’t clog the system.

💧 How they work together:

Water collects in low areas → enters the catch basin

The basin filters out debris

Water flows from the basin into the connected drain pipe

The French drain system carries the water away underground

This combo is especially effective because it handles both surface water (catch basin) and subsurface water (French drain)—keeping your property dry from top to bottom.

If you’re dealing with soggy spots, erosion, or water pooling near your foundation, this setup can make a huge difference.
