The guys spent a couple of weeks on this beautiful floor! Random width live sawn white oak, 4", 6", and 8", glued down, stained with a custom mix of Bona natural and early American, and finished with Bona satin polyurethane. Just gorgeous!

TBT - one of the first patterned floors the guys installed. White oak with a walnut border with Celtic knots in the corners. These pictures are from when they were refinished, stained just a touch darker than natural with a custom mix of Bona stains, finished with Bona Traffic HD.

Last week the guys installed a white oak floor in a picture frame pattern on a cement floor using glue. It was quite a process, as you can see, but it came out beautifully! The stain is Spice Brown from Bona. Don't you just love the warmth of that color?

The guys sanded down a prefinished white oak floor and stained it with a custom mix of Graphite and Driftwood before applying Bona Traffic polyurethane. Love that color!

The guys refinished an older floor last week, and it is quite the transformation! Back when these floors were installed it was common to finish only the edges of the floor, leave the middle unfinished, and put a rug over the unfinished part. This caused oxidization, leading to the dark patches in the wood. It permeates the whole way through the wood, making it impossible to sand out. There's no need to tear them out and put in new flooring, however, because the floors still look beautiful, with a rustic style.

Pic of yesterday's weaved in floor, new and old. It's red oak with a newer color stain called Bark, and water based polyurethane by Bona. No seam between the old and new flooring!
