🍎 HAPPY NATIONAL APPLE DAY FROM ABOUT SCHMIDT PLUMBING! 🍎

An apple a day keeps the doctor away… but an apple down your garbage disposal might bring the plumber your way! 😂🔧

🍎 Can you put an apple down your garbage disposal?

Our answer? It’s best to avoid it! While your garbage disposal can handle small amounts of some soft food scraps, apples can be tricky because of their firm texture, fibrous core, and seeds. Large chunks can jam the disposal, and apple peels or cores can contribute to clogs in your drain.

🚫 Keep these apple parts out of your disposal:
🍎 Apple cores and stems
🍎 Large chunks of apple
🍎 Large amounts of peels at once

✅ Have a few apple scraps? The safest choice is to toss them in the trash or compost. If you do put a small amount of apple flesh in your disposal, cut it into small pieces, run cold water, and feed the scraps in gradually. Never put your hand inside the disposal!

Remember, your garbage disposal isn’t a trash can! A little prevention can save you from an unexpected plumbing headache. 😉

Sorry we’ve been a little MIA lately, but we’ve been BUSY over here at the Lonoke County Fair! 🎡🐔👑

One of our very own is Baby Mister King Lonoke County 2026! 👑💙 And between runways, checking on all the poultry we entered into the fair, and keeping up with everything that comes along with fair week… we’ve been running in ALL the directions! 😂

And don’t worry — in between all the fair fun, Nick has still been out fixing water main lines and taking care of our amazing customers! 🚰🔧

Being a part of the community that we get to serve is truly such a blessing. ❤️ We are so thankful for every call, every referral, every recommendation, and every single person who continues to support our little family-owned business.
