This project was a little different. A buddy of mine is converting a cargo trailer into a hunting cabin on wheels. He wanted some custom cabinets for his kitchen and this is the end result. My son is becoming a great helper and extra set of hands to my growing business.

Another project in the books! I don’t do a lot of deck projects but this one was for a good buddy of mine. This was actually a nice change of pace. The best part is seeing what a great helper my some is becoming. I remember helping my dad at his age on welding projects in his shop. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

The struggle is real! I spent some time before the next project to change up the shop layout. I’m always leaning from each project on how I can become more efficient in the shop. Work flow is a big part of that. I’ve changed the shop layouts few times over the year so hopefully this set up improves the flow a bit. I created more room around the heart (table saw) and moved my assembly table closer to the finish room.

I’ve been busy working on the largest project to date. An entire house cabinetry package including kitchen, vanities and laundry room. I’m also doing all of the millwork (baseboard and casement) along with new stair handrail, custom desk and mantle. A lot of time on this build for a one man shop but happy to come down to the last few details to wrap this one up.

It feels good to have my minipress back online in the shop. I bought this back in 2009 off of another cabinet maker. I used it on a larger project at the time and it has been collecting dust since. Mostly due to the fact I was not building the scale cabinetry I am today.

Currently I have it set up with the 7 hole in line boring for adjustable shelves. Later in this project I’ll set it up to bore all of the holes for the door hinges.

It’s Amazing what one piece of equipment can do to increase productivity in a shop. Definitely glad to have this wired back up in mine.

This is one project on a whole home cabinetry bid. I’m currently wrapping up a punch list on the project but will post pictures of the other cabinets including a completed kitchen build out.

This has been the largest scale project to date for . I’m still a one man operation by design but 2022 may be the year that all changes. I just added another large project to the books that I’ll start building next week. Stay tuned!
