After 20+ years on West Michigan roofs, the simplest part of our pitch is the truest part.

You call. Our team comes out. We tell you what your roof actually needs.

Sometimes that's a $400 repair. Sometimes a full replacement with Hearth Financing. Sometimes the honest answer is, "You've got four good years left. Save the money for now."

We handle residential shingles, commercial flat roofs, gutters, gutter screens, chimney flashing, and storm damage. Every job comes with a full report and written quote.

If your roof has been on your mind this summer, the easy first step is a free inspection. No pressure, no sales floor, no fine print.

3 reasons to check your gutters now, before a single leaf falls.

1. Whatever the storms of June and July dumped in there is still there. Pine needles, maple seeds, shingle granules. All of it builds a dam that traps the first heavy rain of September.

2. Right now, August dryness makes the debris light and easy to scoop. Wait six weeks and the same gunk is soaked, heavy, and twice the job.

3. If a seam, a hanger, or a downspout elbow has loosened over the summer, it's far easier to fix in a warm afternoon than in a 40-degree October rain.

This is a job most homeowners can do themselves. If you'd rather not climb the ladder twice this season, we install gutter screens that take this chore off your list for good.

See your new roof before we install it with Roof Vision!

Upload a few photos of your home, pick a GAF shingle from our three tiers, and 60 seconds later you're looking at your actual house wearing the roof you're considering.

Then it hands you Good, Better, and Best pricing side by side so you can see exactly what changes at each level.

It's free. It's fast. There's no form gate and no follow-up sales call unless you ask. It's the "before I commit" step homeowners have been asking for since the day we started TYCO.

Try it on your own house tonight. Send the render to your spouse. Argue about the color. That's the point.

Stop thinking about ice dams in January. Stop them in August.

Every January, we get the same call. "There's a sheet of ice forming on my eaves and water dripping into my dining room."

By then it's a crisis. The fix is short-term, dangerous, and expensive.

The actual fix happens in August, when no one is thinking about ice. Three things to check this month:

1. Attic insulation depth. If you can see the tops of your ceiling joists, you don't have enough.
2. Soffit vent airflow. Birds, paint, and old insulation block these every summer. Cool attic air is the single best ice dam prevention.
3. Roof valleys and pipe boots. Ice dams love spots where water already wants to collect. Sealed flashing in August is bulletproof flashing in February.

A 25-minute inspection catches all three. Free, written, no pressure. 616-916-0188.

Right now it's August. The temperature swings between 75 and 85. Roofers are working long days. Material is stocked. Calendars have room.

In about 90 days, the first hard frost will land in West Michigan. That's the official end of asphalt shingle install season. After that, every shingle needs hand-sealing in cold weather, which adds time and cost to every job.

The window between now and the first frost is the smartest window of the year for any roof project that's been sitting on your maybe-list. New gutters. Pipe boot replacement. A reshingle on the back slope you've been watching curl for two summers.

If you've been waiting for a sign, this is it.

Free inspection on your schedule: 616-916-0188.

There is one approved Duradek installer in the state of Michigan.

That's us.

The reason there's only one approved installer in the state is that Duradek only approves crews that install membrane roofing professionally, not deck carpenters. It's a flat-roof product with flat-roof detailing. Every pe*******on is welded. Every edge is terminated the way a commercial roof is terminated.

Duradek is a heat-welded waterproof vinyl membrane, engineered for walking decks that sit over living space. Second-story porches. Rooftop terraces. Balconies over a master bedroom. Decks above an attached garage. Anywhere a leak would land inside the house instead of outside.

We drove past Gun Lake on Sunday and saw it: dock parties, kids on tubes, somebody's grandfather sleeping in a chair with a fishing pole in one hand.

That is West Michigan in August.

We tell new customers all the time: we'll work around your summer. If you're heading up north next week, we'll start the day after you leave or the day after you get back. If your kid has a baseball tournament Friday, we'll plan the noisy parts around it.

We live here too. We know what August is for.

Roofs matter. So do the last good weeks of summer. Both can be true.
