Sneak peek of a project we're currently working on 🔥🌿

We're transforming an underutilized seating area that was previously covered in lava rock into a space designed for gathering and making memories. The new centerpiece is an 18-foot diameter circular patio built with Belgard Origins 12 pavers, anchored by a high-format fire pit at the center.

Already, the space feels more inviting, functional, and connected to the surrounding landscape. We can't wait to show the finished result once the project is complete. Stay tuned for the transformation!

Keep an Eye on Pond Water Levels This Summer
As temperatures climb in June, it's normal for ponds to lose some water through evaporation. However, warm weather, increased sunlight, and the movement created by waterfalls and streams can cause water levels to drop more quickly than many pond owners expect.

Make it a habit to check your pond's water level regularly, especially during periods of hot, dry weather. If the water level drops too low, pumps can begin drawing in air, reducing circulation and potentially causing damage to the equipment. Low water levels can also affect fish health by decreasing water volume and increasing water temperatures.

It's also a good idea to inspect the pond's edges, stream, and waterfall for signs of excess splashing or leaks if you notice the water level dropping more than usual.

Want to boost your home's curb appeal? 🌸🌿

A thoughtfully designed planting bed can completely transform a front entry. These perennials were installed just last year, and this season they're already putting on an incredible display of color, texture, and blooms.

One of the best parts of landscaping is watching it grow more beautiful with each passing season.

Nothing says summer quite like relaxing by the pool. ☀️🏊‍♂️

That's exactly what our clients had in mind, and this week we're helping lay the groundwork to make that vision a reality.

To prepare for an upcoming pool installation, our team constructed a 35-foot natural stone retaining wall to support the surrounding grade and create a stable foundation for the new outdoor living space. Behind the scenes, we also installed proper drainage behind the wall and routed downspout drainage away from the wall and future pool area to help protect the investment for years to come.

Great outdoor spaces start with a solid foundation, and while some of this work won't be visible when the project is complete, it's critical to the long-term success of the landscape and pool.

Once the pool is installed, we'll be back to complete the surrounding landscaping and bring the entire space together. Stay tuned for the transformation! 🌿

We love thoughtfully tucking water features into the landscape 💧🌿

This 7’x10’ koi pond is nestled perfectly between the patio and sunroom, creating beautiful views from every angle and during every season.

When designing a water feature, it’s important to think beyond just the outdoor experience. A well-placed pond can also be enjoyed from inside the home, bringing relaxing sights and sounds into everyday living spaces year-round. 🐟

A Smarter Way to Manage Pond Algae
If you're looking for an effective way to reduce algae and improve water clarity, an Aquascape IonGen System can be a valuable addition to your pond. The IonGen works by releasing a controlled amount of copper ions into the water, helping to inhibit algae growth without the need for frequent chemical treatments.

When used alongside proper filtration, beneficial bacteria, and a healthy balance of aquatic plants, the IonGen can help keep string algae and green water under control throughout the growing season. The system is easy to maintain, and its electronic control panel allows you to adjust ion levels based on your pond's needs.

While no single product can solve every algae issue, the IonGen can be an effective tool as part of a comprehensive pond maintenance strategy, helping you spend less time battling algae and more time enjoying your water feature.

Ever wonder what goes into designing a landscape? 🌿

Here’s an update on one of our current projects. We recently finished installing the large trees throughout the property and have now moved on to planting the garden beds surrounding the red barn at the entrance of the property.

In this video, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the thought process that goes into designing planting beds — including plant selection, layering, texture, color, spacing, and how we create landscapes that will look great as they mature over time.

Just perfection 💚
Peaceful water, koi gliding by, a gently cascading waterfall, lilies in bloom, and lotus standing tall. 🌸
The kind of space where you can slow down, soak it in, and let the day melt away. ✨

Signs Your Pond Needs an Upgrade: Filtration, Depth & Aesthetic Red Flags
A well designed pond is an amazing source of enjoyment in your landscape. If your water feature has become a source of frustration in your life it may be time for a renovation or upgrade that will restore your pond to the fun that it should be. Over time, changing conditions, aging equipment, and outdated design standards can begin to take a toll. If your pond requires constant attention, struggles with water clarity, or no longer fits your lifestyle, it may be time to consider a pond upgrade.

Modern pond technology and design practices have come a long way. Many older ponds were built with minimal filtration, shallow depths, or inferior materials that do not support long term ecosystem health. Recognizing the signs of a declining pond allows you to address problems proactively and turn your pond into a more reliable, low maintenance, and beautiful feature of your landscape.
