CMC fabricates and installs overhead cranes for a variety of industries.

Fabrication
- Overhead Cranes - From small kit cranes to 145ft spans and longer with girder weights of 100,000lbs or more.
- We can provide and fabricate structural steel and crane runways. Installation
- Overhead Cranes - Experience in all industries; including mills, automotive, petrochemical, defense and manufacturing.
- Crane Runway Structures, Rail and Runway Electrification
- Structural Steel
Monorails, Jib Cranes, and Conveyors

Modifications and Other Services
- Examine runways for compliance with CMAA compliance.
- Rebuild or upgrade bridge cranes and runway systems.
- We can perform or assist with load testing and have over 180,000lbs of certified test weights. Engineering and Drawing
- We can provide AutoCAD drawings to assist in the design and build cranes, runways or other structural needs.
- We can accept and produce many common 3D formats.
- We can provide stamped engineered drawings.

🚨 WE’RE HIRING – TRAVELING ROAD FOREMAN

We are looking for the next Traveling Road Foreman to join our team at Cahaba Maintenance & Construction.

This is a key leadership position for us. We need a hands-on foreman who can take ownership of a project, lead a field crew, solve problems, work directly with our customers and get the job done safely and correctly.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

• Ironwork and structural steel er****on
• Rigging and crane operations
• Leading and managing field crews
• Reading drawings and performing field layout
• Welding and industrial construction
• Troubleshooting and making decisions in the field
• Working directly with customers and contractors

Experience installing overhead cranes and runway systems is a major plus, but it is not required. If you are an experienced ironworker or steel er****on foreman with strong crane and rigging experience, I want to talk to you.

📍 You do NOT have to live near our Calera, Alabama facility.

We are open to the right person living anywhere in the Southeast. This is a traveling position with projects throughout the country, and the foreman may travel directly from home to assigned jobsites.

We’re looking for someone who leads from the front, isn't afraid to work alongside the crew when needed, takes pride in their work and wants to be an important part of our team.

22 years ago, the Cahaba crew was in Sunny Point, North Carolina, taking on a project that was anything but ordinary.

Our team installed an intermodal double-leg gantry crane featuring pass-through legs, a rotating cab and trolley, all powered by a generator. It was a unique piece of equipment and a project we're still proud to look back on today.

More than two decades later, we’re still doing what we do best: taking on the challenging projects and getting the job done.
