Dear Tennessee weather… we get it. You win. 🌧️😑

We’re ready to pour walls. The forms are ready. The stone is down. The plumbing is roughed in.

Mother Nature, however, apparently has us scheduled for a swimming pool instead. 😂

Progress on this new home has been a little slower than we’d like thanks to seemingly nonstop rain, but some things just aren’t worth rushing. A solid home starts with a solid foundation, and we’re going to give this one the time and conditions it needs to be done right.

As soon as Tennessee decides to close the faucet for a minute, we’ll get these poured walls going and this project headed UP instead of filling UP. 💪🏠

🏗️ A couple of projects currently underway!

We often get asked why we don’t post many of our larger projects.

The honest answer is… we’re usually too busy building them. 😊

Right now C&R has 5 active projects, including these two barndominiums:

🔹 A red iron barndominium going up in Loudon, TN
🔹 A full pole barn barndominium taking shape in Graysville, TN

We’re incredibly thankful for the trust our customers continue to place in us. It never gets old seeing these projects go from a slab or a set of plans into someone’s future home.

For those who’ve been asking about scheduling, here’s where we’re currently sitting:

• 🏡 New custom homes & large projects (2,500+ SF): approximately 12-month lead time
• 🔨 Medium projects (smaller homes, additions, major structural work): approximately 5 months
• 🛠️ Small projects (porches, roofing, concrete, excavation, repairs, etc.): generally 6–10 weeks

If you’re thinking about a project, don’t wait until you’re ready to start—reach out early so we can get you on the schedule and begin planning together.

This one fought us every step of the way. 😂

What started as a bathroom remodel quickly turned into cutting concrete and relocating plumbing in a slab foundation. Not exactly the glamorous part of construction, but sometimes that’s what it takes to get the finished product right.

I couldn’t be happier with how this one turned out.

✔ Custom board-and-batten trim
✔ New vanity and fixtures
✔ New flooring
✔ Fresh paint
✔ Plumbing relocation under slab

The pretty pictures are what everyone sees. The busted concrete, dust, sweat, and head scratching underneath the floor are what make it happen.

Another one wrapped up by the C&R crew. 👏

Custom tile shower, freestanding tub, clean modern finishes, and attention to detail from floor to ceiling. We’re proud of this one.

We don’t claim to be the biggest company around — but we work hard to build spaces people genuinely enjoy coming home to.

Also… huge shoutout to this customer for feeding the crew some homemade prime rib French dip sliders that absolutely did NOT survive the day. 😂
