Concrete Pool Deck Remediation.
Problem:
The chemicals and poor workmanship were causing the pool deck to spaul and chip with foot traffic and with pressure washing. There were also unlevel areas that caused tripping hazards and water intrusion into the home foundation and basement.
The drains and control joints were cutting up feet and not preforming their intention.
The aesthetics were not welcoming and also dangerous due to a variation of a slick and rough profile.
Solution:
Preparation of the surface and ridding of the failing material to expose aggregate and add priming chemicals.
New control joints to tie in as a textured stamped tool joint and to be filled to prevent future water intrusion.
We grinded, capped, and sloped to prevent toe stubs and water intrusions into the home. Engineered drain to match a noncommited slope was installed as well.
An 18”x36” Bluestone Texture was applied to the pool deck with sealer to prevent chemical decay and to improve surface grip to be non-slip!
