🌲 When “environmental activism” turns into a threat to workers
Blocking factories and disrupting operations does not protect forests it targets honest forestry workers who depend on this industry to feed their families.
Sustainable logging is a regulated sector, governed by laws, monitoring, and long-term forest management plans.
❗It’s easy to hold a banner.
❓But who takes responsibility for the jobs, safety, and livelihoods put at risk?
Protecting the environment requires science, planning, and dialogue not intimidation, disruption, or attacks on forestry workers.

Is it reasonable that scenes like this have become normal in forests?
Heavy machinery sinking into mud, operating on unprepared trails, with risks treated as acceptable.

The real question is not only whether the operator made a mistake or acted recklessly.
The deeper issue is whether this operator is working within a properly planned and analyzed system at all.

Do operators and contractors fully understand that such practices accelerate machine wear, reduce operational efficiency, and significantly shorten the service life of the equipment?

Or is the problem rooted in poor field assessments, lack of risk analysis, and the absence of strategic planning before sending machines into unsuitable terrain?

These situations do not only lead to mechanical damage and high maintenance and inspection costs.
They place the operator in direct danger and increase the risk of serious accidents.

With proper field studies, real risk training, and well-defined operational strategies, most of these losses could be prevented.
Prevention is always cheaper than repairing the consequences of negligence.

In my view, this is not bad luck.
It is greed mixed with negligence and the price is paid by the operator first, the machine next, and the forest itself.
